The blue sweet iron Buster Roller mouthpiece from Bombers Bits has a 40mm roller link in the centre. This increases tongue and bar pressure, making the bit stronger than conventional double jointed bits. The double joint reduces the 'nutcracker' action associated with single joint bits, meaning the bit will not put pressure on the top of the horse's palate.
This bit is often suitable for horses with a low head carriage that tend to lean on the bit. The increased pressure on the bars acts to lift the head while the roller increases pressure on the tongue, bringing the chin in and encouraging the horse to soften as he plays with the roller.
The Loose Ring allows for immediate release and relief from tongue and bar pressure. The bit is immediately reset to a neutral position in the horse's mouth.
The blue sweet iron mouthpiece oxidises easily, warms up quickly and tastes sweet in the horse's mouth, which encourages the horse to salivate and accept the bit without resistance.
