Product Description
The locking centre joint and curved mouthpiece of the Lock Up Snaffle from Bombers Bits are designed to remove the nutcracker action of a conventional single jointed snaffle, so this bit will bear less pressure on the bars of the horse's mouth. The mouthpiece cannot bend beyond a certain point, so it remains in a curve in the mouth, rather than forming a V shape that could rub the top of the horses palate.
The Ultra Comfy Lock Up has been designed to suit very sensitive mouthed horses. The shape is such that it follows the contour of the horse’s mouth and takes pressure off the tongue. The center joint has been double locked to ensure that the angle over the tongue remains correct, even when the reins are taken up, but it retains the individual lateral aids.
The blue sweet iron mouthpiece oxidises easily, warms up quickly and tastes sweet in the horse's mouth, which encourages the horse to salivate and accept the bit without resistance.
